Call for proposals
There is a new call for proposals out for an exciting project
entitled:
"Development of an approach for the recognition of informal
settlements and tenure security in South Africa, with potential
regional applicability." Full terms of reference can be
downloaded from
HERE.
The deadline for proposals is Monday 8 December
2008, at 16h30. Proposals must be submitted in
electronic format (on CD or by email). They should be mailed to
Lauren Royston (Lauren@devworks.co.za) and to Lerato Ndjwili
Potele (lerato@urbanlandmark.org.za).
Grant system
Urban LandMark makes a limited amount of concessional funding available during each financial year. This funding is typically for research projects, support activities (e.g. to a municipality or other government department) or other initiatives which:
- will cost less than R120,000 (including VAT),
- align with the mandate of Urban LandMark,
- are short term but catalytic in nature, and
- yield a product which we are able to use to promote access to urban land and markets by the poor.
Proposals are therefore invited which state clearly the objective, the activities, the people and/or organisations involved (including CVs and organisational profiles), and a budget breakdown. Terms and conditions apply in the granting of this funding.
It is subject to the approval of an assessment panel and availability of funds in each financial year.
