Urban LandMark is working towards improving poor people's access to well-located urban land.
It aims to shed light on what can be done to
remedy the problems that have made urban land markets
dysfunctional, and hence land unaffordable. It does this by
using the development approach known as "making markets work for
the poor" while acknowledging
the importance of land rights.
Through discovery and advocacy, Urban LandMark provides a platform for dialogue to bring
people together to find a solution to the problems of poverty and urban land.
The Urban Land Markets Programme is funded by
the UK Department
of International Development and financially managed by
FinMark Trust.
